I had the worst banking experience while bankin with FSCU. If I could give them a no star rating I would. The staff is subpar at best. The app they utilize follows suit as it's antiquated and provides an unsatisfactory user experience. Nothing like Chase. To add insult to injury, for several weeks, I was unable to utilize the app due to staff member, I dare not call any of these individuals bankers because their incompetencies suggest they arent, Bema Yusopova associating my account with someone else's social security number. That's right. I was banking under someone else's SSN! Which is insane and later explained why for several weeks I was unable to access the app as the last four digits of your social security number is needed for the initial setup up. Bema was absolutely of no help with her mistake made and kept insisting that the fault was mine because she had no problem signing in on her end. It never dawned on me that she may have my banking account associated with someone else's SSN! Finally I asked her what SSN she had on file for me and this is when she recited to me someone else's number. I asked her who's SS number it was that she was using for me and she stated she must have me confused with someone else and asked if I would email her my SS card. I should have run then and in fact, I should have run months prior when it took nearly two months just to both receive and link my account to my debit card as these were things which needed to be manually done on the banks part or so it had been claimed. Fast forward to present day when I decided that I had had enough with the poor business practices and constant mistakes being made with being constantly misinformed, communicated with poorly and experiencing business practices that were border line fraudulent, where the rules are made up as you go along and as a customer you never know what to expect from this institution. Finally, I decided to close my account with this credit union as I'm also a member with Chase but thought it would be beneficial to bank with a credit union as well for the perks that I researched come along with doing so such as lower interest rates, higher returns on CD accounts, and easier access to loan monies. These things are things I still hold as true however, this is not a banking institution you want to trust your money with as I was told by Dennis Richardson, the office manager for FSCU, good luck with trying to get my money back. He was referring to the monies in my savings account. This was after I requested that my account with this institution be closed and all monies returned. He later changed his tune after I emailed my request and assured that I'd receive all monies from all of my accounts within days of my request. Speaking to him over the phone was like speaking to what I'd imagine a loan shark sounding like. He went from being a concerned manager looking to resolve my issue to a crook with Bank monies, my monies tied up in personal things that he couldn't afford to relinquish right away. Not upset but am certainly grateful that I experienced these things prior to investing large sums into this bank like the 9500 tax return. Some bad experiences happen to protect you from something more damaging. Thankful for the smoke because I felt the fire nearing. Beware! Beware! Beware!!
