Story

Fish Tales at Hideaway Bay Marina was founded in 2010 by owners Dale & Jessica Ozaki. Built on a dedication to quality service, fresh seafood entrees and a family-friendly dining environment, Fish Tales has been regarded as the Best Dining Experience on Lake Lanier. Guests arrive year ‘round by car, boat and even helicopter to enjoy favorites like the Grouper Sandwich, Fish Tacos, and famous Fish Tales (Fried Grouper Fingers). Open daily for lunch and dinner March through October, Fish Tales features a sandbox for the kids, cold drinks for the adults and live music for all of your friends and family.

Fun atmosphere in the outdoor seating area. You don't really get a good view of the lake but there is a sand lot for the kids to play in. Service was great. Our drinks were always filled and the food came in a timely manner. Lobster bites didn't have a lot of taste so it was nice to have the spicy sauce. Crab bites seemed to be fried a little too long so they were dry. But again it was nice to have the sauce. Spicy shrimp appetizer was good and the fried grouper bacon ranch sandwich was also very good. With nice weather it was a beautiful day to sit outside with friends.

Nice ambiance. A little out of the way, but worth a visit. We had a small snafu because we called and had a reservation for a big group. When we came in, even though we had a confirmation email, the server claimed all they do was call aheads. We ended having to wait for twenty minutes. That being said, I really liked the place and enjoyed the food. The staff was polite and helpful. It's a casual place, so bring your flip flops. 😁

Right by the water. Good food. Great staff. Not expensive, but not a cheap plate on the menu either.

Food was really good, good service and great atmosphere. Took the family here for dinner on a Sunday night. We got there early around 5:30 and it was fairly crowded, it got a little more crowded after we sat down though. The kids loved playing in the sandboxes, and it was nice because we could watch them from our table on the patio. We'll definitely be going back again.

They have 2 great sandbox play areas for kids to enjoy while waiting for the food to come. Reasonably priced for a restaurant on the lake. Great grouper fingers and fried plantains. Service was good and it was a very nice view of the lake.
