From the beginning of our professional relationship, I felt secure and safe in the arms of Five Stone Tax Advisers. I was guided, updated, and coached throughout the entire process. The staff was very professional, kind and never conveyed a feeling of shame for allowing my taxes to get behind. The outcome was outstanding and I know It was due to Five Stone Tax Adviser. I would recommend them to any person considering taking steps to solve their tax problem. Yea Christine. Thank you so much.

Whatever is poorer than poor? That's my rating for this supposed tax service. BEWARE. I understand all cases are different and some may have had a pleasant experience but boy we were far off that grid! My husband owes back taxes for both personal and business. They started us off with a plan. We paid $675 a month that was to EXTEND for about 8 months. That was personal. For business it was another $1000 per month for I don't know how many months. Hard-earned money we could've given to the IRS itself. After a few months, a lien was place on our business account, the government froze our accounts, etc. and someone was sent from IRS. When confronted, IRS says they have never been contacted by Five Stone. That's when we halted our money train to them! After we cancelled, we were to speak with John K. His last name is long but he's on these reviews. Yeah, he reviewed his own business along with other employees there. So keep in mind, a lot of these 5 star reviews... yeah! Who does that? Ok back to it, we spoke with John K the first time and he said he was going to "investigate" and was very apologetic. Then we didn't hear from him for 2 weeks. We then had to set up a phone call with him through Mary. He then returned our all and after his investigating in his OWN company he found they completed a service. He did not know what that service was, but said he was going to obtain documents. We are now at the point of waiting for those documents. When asked how he sleeps at night after knowingly and taking our hard-earned money, his response was something to the lines of "we completed a service" Just really do research, in a situation like this we tend to get over-anxious when we're in a corner and they took TOTAL ADVANTAGE., Take a look at their reviews, on Facebook, google, and BBB (wish I did that). They have awful reviews. Awful! I hope this review helps someone and I hope I kept it entertaining so the reader could make it to the end of my review. Thank you for reading and good luck!

Staff is great. The receptionist is easy to talk to. Adam met with me and was professional from the start...he did a little research to confirm what I feared, but gave options and was honest--something I'm not used to feeling around lawyers. I'll come back to this group everytime I have a need based solely on trust and respect.

One of the most appalling experiences of my life. I am afraid I cannot recommend Five Stone. My relationship with them started fine. They helped me deal with some amended returns for delinquent international filings. It took a long time, cost around $30k, not to mention a ton of my time, but finally they got there and the result was more or less good. Then mid way through a second project to figure out US compliance of an offshore entity of mine, the tax attorney I was dealing with left the firm. The work he left me with in this instance was very bad, had a number of serious errors - in fact some of the advice was dangerous - with no transition to anyone else a the firm. I raised some concerns about this project, and there was no attempt made to offer any kind of solution. They seemed in some kind of disarray, so I was forced to go elsewhere for advice and start afresh. Then, they supplied me with a quote for my 2016 return where the price quadrupled from 2015. They seemed to have no regard to the methods we had employed to keep the costs down, as well as the work that had already done. The right hand wasn't speaking to the left, they made no attempt to discuss with me the details of my situation, ignored many of my emails and gave me no confidence that they actually had the ability to meet my needs. So, frustrated, I decided to move to a new CPA that more closely met my needs. I asked them to give my new CPA the data file for my return with all the depreciation schedules etc, and THEY REFUSED. I honestly couldn't believe it. I paid in full $30k for this work. There is clear guidance from AICPA that they are under obligations to release any document for a taxpayer to comply with his or her current Federal tax obligations. But they flat out refused. So, unable to reach a resolution here - even after a meeting with their CEO - I have filed a complaint with the Texas State Board of Public Accountancy. Incredible that I have had to go that far. This has caused me immense frustration and has considerably added to the cost and risk in doing my taxes accurately for 2016, particularly with a complex international return such as mine. They clearly do not have have the needs of their customers at the core of their business. Their treatment of me as a departing customer is vindictive in the extreme. Five Stone acted unethically and incompetently with some of the most aggravating customer service I have ever had. Fundamentally they are too busy protecting their themselves and their reputation to answer my emails with any honesty or integrity. They had the chance to do many thousands of dollars of business with me in the future, but I will certainly not be going back to them for advice, and I will be sharing this experience with anyone who asks. One of the most appalling experiences of my life. Find another firm, particularly if you need international advice. Five Stone is all over the place.

Being a tax advisor you should know if someone qualifies for an offer and compromise, ecspecially if you received all of the paperwork needed. Not only did they rob over $5000.00 from my three children, they did not a single thing to help clear my tax issues. IRS told me if I was to have given them the money Instead, the remainder would've been put on a payment plan. Ridiculous right? It's sad enough that the IRS robs us but in order for your company to stay in business, you have to steal from hard working Americans as well, you are no better.
