I lived in East Lyme for 20 years and when I moved away to another town this is the place that I miss the most. They have the best homemade donuts. Tons and tons of varieties plus plenty of pastries to pick from. I highly recommend them as the best bakery in the area. Their bagels are they way they make them in New York City crispy on the outside chewy on the inside. They only accept cash so be prepared. The crumb donut is always a family favorite.

These are the best donuts in the area by far. My personal favorite is the coconut, but you HAVE to try their plain glaze. Few places can nail the plain glaze without giving you a bad taste afterwards. This place does. They have been in business for decades with cash only, and it works. You'll be wanting to come back. My family loves this place.

I've lived here for two years and never got around to trying to place out until now. The donuts range from the staples to a maple bacon-topped one. They've got hard rolls and a variety of tasty-looking bagels (but I can't pass up a hard roll sandwich, so I didn't try the bagels). They do only take cash, so I had to stop at the bank across the street to use the ATM. Overall, a nice experience and it feels very local.

We got a half dozen of donuts and the new key lime Danish. We also got the banana Walnut bagel which was good. Everything was fresh and delicious. Only disappointment was no seating inside or out. Service was also good.

Better donuts and bagel then Dunkin could ever dream about at a price everyone can afford. Stop going to chain and buy local!
