Vera is really nice and definitely willing to work with you to make your vision come to life while staying on budget. She offers really great suggestions and helps you figure out what you want even when you don't know much about flowers. You can definitely tell that she loves what she does. She created the most beautiful bouquet, arrangements, and boutonnieres that I have ever seen!! I wish I'd had enough in my budget to have them preserved after the wedding.

I had Flor De Monterey create a bouquet and a boutonnière for my elopement ceremony this past Saturday. I sent in a few photos of what I imagined my bouquet to look like but was a little skeptical since after I paid for the bouquet and boutonnière I didn't hear anything again from Vena but when I picked them up on my wedding day I was nothing but pleased! The bouquet and boutonnière were absolutely beautiful and they were the most fair with their pricing out of many of the other places around Monterey that I called! If you're looking for beautiful flowers at a reasonable price this is your place!

How can I explain this florist? Magnificent, intelligent, brilliant, an artist? None of these does Vena justice. I came to Vena with an idea for my wedding flowers. She created an absolute masterpiece. I had so many compliments on my floral arrangements the entire night. My groom absolutely loved my bridal bouquet and the bridesmaids loved their bouquets. I have shopped around and Vena is by far the best priced florist in town and has the most amazing flowers. She is extremely professional and patient. I finally gave her free will over my flowers and she hit it out of the park. Everyone loved the succulents, and cabbage. Great job Flur de Monterey and I can't wait to work with Vena and her staff again. Great job.

The flower selection is great and the staff is very kind. I knocked off one star because I got a mix of pink and red roses, and the pink roses did not hold up well at all. Beautiful going home, but they were already browning by the next evening. It was a beautiful arrangement though!

Awesome Experience...My fiance and I had just found our venue at the Memory Garden, in Monterey, and stopped in at Flor de Monterey, just to see what we were looking at, as far as wedding flower cost was concerned. Vena, greeted us as we walked in, and we immediately started talking about our venue, and cake, and our wedding in general, before we even got into the flowers. I was able to show her what I had in mind for center pieces, tell her what colors I wanted, and what I didn't want. And she was as excited for me as I was. She was also able to track down my dream bouquet flower, the gloriosa lilly, that I kept coming across in magazines. She searched many vendors and got me lower prices! The best was when she quoted us for what we wanted, I came back saying I hoped to stay under a certain price, so I was going to get rid of some stuff. She said no way, If I was willing to change a few flower decisions, she could get the price in my budget, and still get the flowers I wanted. She was very easy to be in contact with through, e-mail, and over the phone, and was willing to work in our budget. Most of all, she was very personable, and friendly. The flowers were beautiful at our wedding and we couldn't ask for anything better than the artwork she provided for us. ~Mr. & Mrs. Elmhorst~ ~May 21, 2011~
