If there is such a thing as having a positive experience after having complete water damage to our townhouse...we had it. We flew down from New York State to meet CEO Kevin Hamilton from Florida Cat with very short notice. Kevin assessed damage , assigned Project Mgr Steve Cecere and had a contract back to us within 3 days. We were given a 45 day start and end date which was totally completed above satisfactory within the time period. All upgrades were explained completely so there were no surprises with final billing. I cant say enough about the efficiency and professionalism this company showed us. A big thank you to project manager Steve, who went over and above what he needed to do to make our experience a favorable one by contacting us on a daily basis with texts, emails, pictures, etc. keeping us updated with all renovations. Also special thanks to Mike Williamson, cabinet division mgr with Fl Cat who did an excellent job with our kitchen cabinets and bathroom vanities, and last, Todd Strickland, ops mgr from Flooring master. We would highly recommend Florida Catastrophe to anyone needing emergency or reconstruction to their property. Bill Hickey

I am totally pleased with all people that FL CAT assigned to my problem. Every person was a friendly professional who arrived as planned, did outstanding work and completed each step of the restoration on schedule. My project may have been unique because hurricane IRMA hit right in the middle and delayed everything a week but as soon as power was restored, my kitchen was restored as planned. In all there were 13 individuals who worked on my kitchen. ALL were outstanding.

Our project started in February from a water leak in our master bathroom. Our insurance company contracted FLA-CAT to do the repair work to get us back to working order. I can say that we appreciate the quickness and the professionalism we received from the project Manager Steve and his entire team. The finished project is beautiful and we are very happy with it. Thank you....M. Potter

Like the previous poster stated, one star is too much. Like him, I had the same experience of Florida Catastrophe trying to extort my deductible out of me before doing any work. After checking with my insurance company it was as I suspected, I pay the insurance company the deductible. The insurance company pays Florida Catastrophe directly. They came out to tarp a large section of the roof lost in the hurricane. Initially it appeared to be a good job. Less than two weeks later, however, it became evident it was not. The tarp became unsecured in a section. I called Florida Catastrophe and the comment was "it's just temporary" and "we'll have to get another authorization from your insurance company." The concern was not my property or the terrible job they did but just to be paid again. Once again they attempted the strong arm tactic of asking for my deductible! Just incredible! This continues and they told me they'd be out in two days. That day came and I was told due to "inclement weather" they wouldn't be out till the following day. The following day turned out to be a week later. I was away at work and assumed it was completed. During this time I sustained more water damage due to the tarp failing. I was at home when they arrived and was awoken to the sound of footsteps on the roof. They then supposedly repaired the tarp. Two days later this tarp shredded in the wind. I went up on the roof myself and discovered why this tarp failed. The thickness of this tarp was no thicker than a standard plastic bag! Unreal! If there was a way to post the pictures here I would. Strong arm tactics, substandard work and non existent customer service. It's obvious that Florida Catastrophe is appropriately named. Avoid them like the plague.
