Story

Our Cosmetology Program at prepares the student to become a professional cosmetologist, capable of pursuing a career as a cosmetology professional, working in a variety of styling salon environments or operating a private cosmetology business. In our salon, they provide hair, nail and waxing services for a variety of clientele.

The design of the Massage Therapy program provides the student with the basic understanding of the fundamentals of massage. Through lecture and hands-on instruction in Swedish techniques, pathology, anatomy, physiology, and kinesiology, the student is prepared to successfully enter the massage industry. The program also provides information in various additional techniques currently practiced in massage therapy clinics. At the end of this program, students are prepared to sit for the national certification examination.

Courses throughout the programs balance the technical skills required in these ever expanding professions with a strong grounding in personal growth and skill and technique development. Students acquire an in-depth competency in fundamental skills necessary for the formation and development of professional service relationships. A comprehensive presentation of the science and art of both massage therapy and cosmetology provides the student with the background necessary for enhancing communications with clients and supporting confident interaction. Opportunities for learning through practical skill exercises, group processes, lectures and discussions, and hands-on technique practice form the core of these unique programs.
