Watched a beautiful sunset while striking along the pier with some key lime pie ice-cream from the little gift store. This is a nice spot especially as evening falls to the sound of the live entertainment by the bar.

This is a nice beach with a cafe right on the beach and other shops within a short walking distance. It does get crowded on the weekends and during the season - lots of people. So if you're looking for a more secluded beach I'd recommend Sullivan's island.

Such a beautiful place! Must Visit! Kid friendly on the pier. The waves were pretty rough for my 2 year old so we didn't swim much. Beautiful place! A MUST see! :)

It's good to here and related your self. Cool place to practice fishing. Windy but refreshing place. Later you can enjoy the tides and have a nice shower.

I have been raving about this beach for the past week after our vacation here. Being July it was blistering hot in Charleston but down at the beach there was a nice cool breeze and somehow the ocean was warm but still refreshing. The water is shallow for awhile so kids are able to play and the waves are manageable for kids but still fun for adults. My just-turned-6 year old learned how to boogie board and had a great time. Lots of pretty shells too. Some boys near us found small conch shells (although I had no luck) and we even spied some dolphins!! Be sure to have some Taco Boy down the street to complete your awesome beach day!
