Didn't do tour due to time constraints.. visited quaint gift shop. Fun lil artifacts and a touch of history. We loved it. Both gentlemen that greeted us were informative and nice.

Actually kinda neat. Only $1.50 per person to get in and look around. It is not super organised or clean but it was neat. Like exploring your grand parents attic or something.

Found this place when my wife and I were on a ride around the area. Nice people and lots of things to look at, even suggested a route to Raton on NM 72. Thanks for the hospitality.

I absolutely love Folsom. Some day soon I am going to start camping out there. 

A few years back my wife and I finally visited Raton, Sugarite State Park, and Folsom. We were on our way to Kansas City for my mother Dee's 80th birthday celebration. We drove from near Tucson because it afforded us a nice road trip as well. 

The Smithsonian traveling exhibit concerning folk and local area music had staged an exhibit in this tiny place. How amazing, but later we found out why: the exhibit traveled across America by train, and to apply for the prestigious hosting rights for the incredible exhibit, you had to have the train passing through your area. Brilliant.

So we drove on in, checked out the amazing town museum which is a one-of-a-kind place, and accidentally discovered the traveling show.....which was just short of astounding. You just can't believe.....

A must see if you find yourself in Folsom. I didn't realize where I was until I saw a Folsom Point in display..... Then it dawned on me.

;-) don't even think of using your flash....the lady will yell at you. :-)
