I tried to return some canned goods as well as a few bags of marshmallows and stuffing, the store manager told me she could not do it because it could be cross-contaminated and that made absolutely no sense since there were no Meats at all, she refused to let me return my items, no cash back, no store credit no nothing except attitude and basically just wanting to be lazy! I had my receipt and everything there was nothing wrong with the things that I had and then she told me to try a different Food Lion, like wow you won't take it back because it could be quote-unquote cross-contaminated but you want me to take it to another Food Lion, had me so mad and threw me into a panic attack because I have severe anxiety and it made me so very mad because I needed the money to buy my son a pack of diapers and that's what I told her but she could care less, it's crazy I shop at that Food Lion almost every day every week because that's the one I live closest to and never have they refused to take back items, I called another Food Lion and talk to that store manager, she told me it sounded like the manager was just being lazy and didn't feel like doing it and then told me to call the 1-800 number on the bottom of my receipt so I did that and the lady I spoke to was very nice and comforting and she told me she was so sorry about how that store manager had acted towards me and that they would get it right one way or another, so needless to say I'm very disappointed with this Food Lion!

I drive across town just to come here. Always clean and neat. Cashier's are all nice. Great prices

Several times, staff have opened a new line for me so I didn't have to wait. Kudos for keeping it clean too.

Always excellent staff is always fabulous thanks I salute them they are always the best my store on Hillsborough road in Durham NC

I live in East Durham, and the Food Lion at University Plaza IS THE ONLY FOOD LION I shop at..The atmosphere is so pleasant and all of the store employees are kind and professional....
