Always quiet and peaceful during the hectic midday rush. The squirrels are plentiful! It is often windy here in the spring and fall. Good places for kids to explore. Not really an offleash park, but well behaved dogs will have enough space to run and sniff. Ah underused gem during the week.
Nice big park, looks like nice well kept ranch ur something two play ground structures one for little children one for pre teens n up i guess!?!?? nice green grass its actually the community center so yeah I've only been the this one time buts it at least 1.5 miles across n probably 3 in diameter seemed dog friendly but not a dog park n i thought it be super cool if they got a disc golf course going
This park is very nice, very big. Has a nice big field, two playgrounds- one has bark other has sand. There are bathrooms, dont expect them to be clean all the time tho
The bathroom is GROSS! I went to use it, a GUY told me "it's busy, it's busy" as I got close. He was using the women's because someone was in the men's! Also, the parking lot by the bathrooms is the "spot". I don't have a problem with the homeless...they are just messy. Don't clean up behind themselves. The area they sat in was a mess! Overall, it's a good park. Pretty busy with folks out for a good day. I guess that's all that really matters
This is a great big park that allows dogs has a bathroom that's open lots of shade was able to take a nap under some big trees without anyone bothering me or trying to run me off for being there to long
Nice and clean community park next to Elkhorn Blvd. It is nearby freeway, has slides for kids and good atmosphere.I like it as it is next to the shopping plaza, so it is easy to grab a quick bite and eat it on the seating area inside the park. The seating area is big and covered.I enjoyed my experience coming here with friends.
It looks like they're trying to clean the park up. Last time my husband saw hyperdermic needles by the bathrooms. Scary. Today we bought coffee from human bean and took a stroll through the park. It was a pretty nice walking trail. I noticed quite a few big toys which is nice if you have little ones. The tennis courts are pretty beat up, but, overall a nice, quiet park.
Nice walk through 2 kids parks little ones and bigger kids.
Ummm. That was my first time there, walking my dog. Not sure if I will be back. There were the homeless walking back and forth from the far right of the park near the freeway. Drug activity and exchange activity also at the picnic tables far right of the park. Near the recreation center, although closed, I saw an old man pull his pants down and deficate in the plants nearby. So, I'll keep walking my dog around my block and back instead.
We had a family Barbecue there tonight. And the started a little late. So, even though it was after dark before we finished cooking dinner the ranger was nice enough leave it be until we're done. Plus the park is beautiful! Love Sacramento parks!
