Awesome bakery! Mouthwatering Gingerbread, sweet chocolate croissant, and tasty ham and cheese croissant - plus this delicious sourdough! Nice cup of hot coffee too.
Obsessed with this little slice of heaven in Joplin. The bakery is beautiful and the people running it are friendly and helpful. Try the morning buns and you’ll understand why they have a line every Saturday. Can’t wait to try more menu items.
Forest + Field Bakery has a calm and refreshing atmosphere that you don't find often in this fast paced world. All of the goods are at the counter when you first enter. This makes for an easy pick me up treat or you can move further into the building for seating. If you want to have a wide selection of loafs, baguettes, and croissants for your choosing, get there EARLY! Once they are out of your favorite items, you will have to wait until next time. I highly recommend you stop by Forest + Field Bakery!!!
We love Forest and Field! They have a wonderful selection of gluten free offerings for my daughter and the way they prepare many of their other pastries are low glycemic which helps me with my dietary restrictions. I love their sausage roles and my wife prefers their ham and cheese. Thier coffee is sourced locally so often the beans they use were roasted within the week and their drinking chocolate is amazing.
This is a little haven in Joplin. It's difficult to find classic French bakeries in most metropolitan areas, let alone this smaller town. They bake all sorts of excellent breads, croissants, tarts, and pastries.Their classic croissants are the best you'll find in the U.S. and their sourdough boules are incredible. While they do make plenty of excellent sweet treats like morning buns, lemon cakes, and various fruit tarts, my favorite items are their savory takes on baked goods. Goat cheese and zucchini danish! Orange and olive oil muffins! Sausage rolls! Chocolate chile croissants! They have their staple items that are available every Saturday and Monday, but also change some of their items every season to keep things interesting and fresh. I can't say enough positive things about Forest + Field!
A European bakery in Joplin MO?? Yes...or the closest you will get for many miles. Quality, ambiance and freshness. Unique among bakeries in this region. First visit today and absolutely will be a regular Saturday stop!
So delicious and always seems to hit the spot. This bakery is a slice of heaven and flavors remind me of being back in Europe. I make the drive from Columbia once a month and always make sure to time it on a Saturday this is a must stop and try kinda spot.
Great service and great food! Made bread loaf chili with the bread!!
Went for the first time today and will definitely be a return customer. The baguette and the sourdough bread were amazing. Can't wait to try breakfast roll in the morning.
