Awesome sledding. Great people. Fire department was even their to make sure the kids didn't get to cold. Just awesome.

An amazing escape from the city and the noise, with lots of space to explore and enjoy. If you walk to the far side of the pond/lake by the dam, you can walk to the end of the gravel path and cross the street into the James River park system. Not to mention the community events that happen here regularly such as the summer music series every Sunday as well as the farmers market every Saturday year round.

Wonderful park in Richmond, VA that gets overlooked because it's south of the river.  

It's connected to the James River trail system and has lots of exploration options in a very small park.  Great for all kinds of recreation and general outdoor enjoyment in every season!

A nice, quiet little place where you can walk your dog or just walk around, cookout. Plenty of free parking. Only complaints are there aren't any attractions, just space. No playground or anything. And the only bathroom access is to porta potties, which are just gross in general. But if you enjoy nature and open space, this is a great place for you!

One of the quiet spots in the heart of Southside, except for Saturday morning Farmer's Market! Bring your kids, dogs and sense of adventure. Spot the turtles or blue heron that frequent the park. In winter, bring your sled. My favorite activity is to walk to the lake and walk around it. Plenty of mountain bike trails.
