Jason , I have worked at that station. From up above where the station sits, you can not see in front of the lower offices. Second, the public is parked down there all day long, coming and going. If you needed assistance, why did you not go in and ask ? They would of helped you out in a second. During the time you mentioned, they had been working a 250 acre fire just south of town. You mentioned trucks coming and going. This most likely were strike team engines assigned to the fire or cover engines which could not stop. The public assumes that firefighters just sit around when they are not on a call. This is just untrue. If we are sitting down , don't get upset, while you were sleeping, we were up on calls ! Cal Fire and every fire department never thinks twice to help someone. That is our job. But the public needs to work and communicate with us so we understand and can accomplish the task at hand with no assumptions. I hope the rest of your trip went well.

Pulled out front with a flat tire in our rv with the kids. It is extremely hot and i am out getting the spare out(strugling with thw wife), hooking up the power for the ac for the kids etc. And waiting on the tow truck. It took a kittle over 1 hr for the tow truck to get here and not one single  firefighter (public serivce employee) came out to check on me or my family! We have seen multiple trucks go in an out and people walkimg around the facility. Not very professional if you ask me, nor public service like. Guess that is Calfire for ya!
