I bought a car in September 2017 from CarMax. The only service I had done on this car was in December 2017 when I had an oil leak repaired at Forest Hills Auto. They said it was coming from my timing chain and gasket. Three days later my car broke down on a long drive. The cause? The plug was missing from the oil pan and the engine ran out of oil, seized up, and cracked--leaving me stranded a 6 hour drive from home with a car that was not worth fixing. Do I know for sure that Forest Hills Auto caused this? No. Will I ever go back there? Absolutely not.

UPDATE: The staff at Forest Hills Auto Service followed up after seeing my review to see if my situation had been resolved. CarMax helped me out (in a big way) but I appreciated the follow-up. The Forest Hills Auto mechanics did not report doing an oil change or any work that would necessitate removing the oil plug, so my car's breakdown remains a mystery. I still will probably not return to Forest Hills Auto but am upgrading to 3 stars to be fair to them.

I love this place! The staff are super friendly and polite (especially Michelle at the front desk!), they are always happy to work around my schedule and I've always been happy with the work that they've done on my car. Their prices are very reasonable and they are always doing little things for free!

Mechanic said I needed to replace my engine, went to a different shop and the fuel pump was the issue, so they don't know what they are doing.
