I really enjoyed the museum...very interesting to see the contributions of the Buffalo Soldiers to taming the west. I was quite surprised at the amount of battles between Buffalo Soldiers and Apaches in Arizona. There was also a cool section on drone development. I never realized they started working with drones back around 1958. In any event it's totally worth the trip and you'll get a pass that is good for visiting for a year.

If you are in the area, make sure to visit this museum in Fort Huachuca. You must get a pass by entering at the Van De Mann gate. The history of Buffalo Soldiers can be found here. Many of the original barracks and other buildings are still in use. A visit to the cemetery is also recommended. Be sure to go to the Buffalo Corral to sign up for a guided sunset horseback ride!!!

A little-known but amazing museum with extensive history and displays of the Buffalo Soldiers and life in general in the harsh desolation of southeastern Arizona in the 1800's and early 1900's.  Those people were tougher than beef jerky!  We'll worth visiting.

I use to live is Serria Vista when I was a kid, my Dad worked at Fort Huachuca. 
My wife and finally got to visit my old stomping grounds got to see the museum and it was well worth the time.

Great military museum with a pretty good history of the Buffalo Soldier that served St the post during the Mexican American war and WWI.
