Peaceful, pretty place to camp along a cut-off loop of the San Joaquin River just on the north edge of Fresno. At least it was quiet when I was there mid-week in early October. Grassy, shady areas to camp with picnic tables near the water. Camped 3 nights, only one of those nights were there other people there. Mostly it seems like people go to the other side of this lake, or whatever it is, to fish. Nice respite from cold mountain camping to resupply in Fresno.

The only issue I found was trying to pay. Got there late the 1st night & looked around for some sign about paying or price. There's nothing. No one even came to collect until the 3rd day. I was thinking it was free. It isn't.  Camping cost is $18 per night. Maybe a bit steep for no bathroom just porta-Potty & no water as far as I could tell. But still worth it I think. Still, with no posted camping fee, they could basically charge you whatever they think you could pay.

Bit hard to find. Small handmade sign & it looks like you are driving into someone's yard as you enter area. Not an RV camping place, mostly tent camping.

Reasonable day and overnight rates. A small number of campsites right near the river, with a few more surrounding a small lake/inlet off the river. Helpful employees, just wish there hadn't been so many raccoons at night!

Great local spot. Friendly owners . Clean place to picnic. 3$ a person over the age of 12 is fair . Lots of small minnows

The price is expensive. To get in but overall its a good place to. Bring your family and pets
