Beautiful place! A nice short walk and great historical value! I love what this organization is doing for this spot and how important it is to our portion of the Pacific Northwest. I highly recommend everyone make it out here at least once. Bring sunscreen during the summer, because there is almost no shade.

A short hike loops you around where they believe the buildings were situated when Fort Yamhill was active. The location for the fort was discovered a mere 15 years ago, so park employees are working on discovering the foundations for the original buildings to build replicas. It is all a work in progress, but there are informational signs throughout the hike and artifacts to view through the window of the officer's quarters (the only original building remaining).

Great trails and a nice parking lot. Clean outhouse and handicap parking close by.

I love historical sites and this one is clearly taken care of as it was clean, signage was kept up, and trail well maintained.  Will be back.
