The Fostoria Police Department serves over 13,000 residents and responds to over 12,000 calls a year. The Fostoria Police Department is dedicated to providing a safe, drug free community to all residents and visitors.
Our Division is manned by 22 Full Time Officers and 6 dispatchers. Of the 22 Officers, we currently have a SWAT team, 2-K9 units, 2-School Resource Officer’s, and a Detective Bureau.
The mission of the Fostoria Police Department is to preserve basic human rights and the maintenance of individual human dignity under the rule and spirit of law through the fair, ethical, and impartial application of laws and ordinances without regard to race, color, creed, sex or station in life. By treating all individuals with the same tolerance, compassion, and dignity that we would expect in similar circumstances, as well as by taking an active role in our communities, we will not only set the standard of moral conduct and professionalism, but strive to exceed as we as Police Officer's are held to a higher standard. We will protect those in need, and serve all.
