This place sucks and doesn’t help at all. It made me feel worse and made me feel like I shouldn’t even be around anymore, most of the staffs are a**holes and they put you on medication that makes you sick. If your kid is going through something I suggest you find a better place to send your kid.

I'll keep it short and simple. If you love your children, don't send them here. I spent my fourteenth birthday here two years ago. I was prescribed 1200mg of lithium. I had to suffer through chronic lithium toxicity, which included drooling, shaking, blurred vision, and LITERALLY blacking out. Four Winds did NOTHING to help me, nor did they ever change my prescription. Years later, I still have the lasting effects. I still suffer from permanent memory loss and slight cognitive problems. I feel as if I've survived a botched surgery. If you go here, do NOT consent to medication. The staff is completely clueless and laughs at you. My recovery process has been long and difficult, but I still believe Four Winds did nothing but make my situation worse.

This place changed my life for the better. I was in the adult residential program. We had group therapy session, daily one-on-one sessions to keep the team treating you up to date on how you are feeling, and meds adjusted accordingly. I do wish their was more interpersonal sessions with the psychiatrist to address issues directly. Staff is amazing! They are very caring and considerate. They take the time out to get to know you personally so you can feel free to come to them with any problem you might be having. You get ongoing support from staff and peers here. But I recommend this place to anyone suffering from depilating anxiety, depression, and bipolar disorders. I don't understand all the bad reviews, they are not warranted.

Im 16 years old and I was here for about a couple weeks. I was in the unit westview, being diagnosed with bipolar, odd and depression, i got absolutely no treatment, was put on meds that gave me suicidal thoughts. The staff here dont care about the kids. On my fourth day there i got jumped by 3 girls and it took atleast 15 minutes before the code team had arrived to break it up. The therapist only talked to me once a week, not daily. And when we did talk, she was no help! The school here is horrible! The “work” they give you is crossword puzzles, word searches, absolutely no teaching being done. PLEAAAASE if you are reading this do not send your kids here. Read all the reviews, four winds is not the place you want your kid to “get better” there are many other places for them. This truly is not the place. AND ALSO!! When you get discharged they refer you to a place to go to therapy and to see a physiatrist. The place they sent me to, did not see adolescents. Again, im 16. They referred me to a place that i wouldnt get any help. So after my mom called to complain, my physiatrist while i was at four winds was not answering, not until a month later. She then said that she cant help me because i have been gone for a month... going back to four winds next week.. wish me luck 🤷🏻‍♀️
