Today I visited Franks theater in gettysburg, as I have several times in the last four years. My husband and I go often and always purchased a new bucket every year.. we bring our bucket to get filled when we go and I always ask for a tray so I'm not going back and forth every 2-3 minutes. Today we go in and I was advised by the cashier that she was not allowed to give me, its against policy. Not seeing her there before I asked for her manager because in the last 4 years this was NEVER an issue. She went and got her manager or supervisor. He came out and insisted I couldn't have a tray or container but offered me a little plastic cup. My hand can hold more so I passed on that and asked for the number to corp. He went in the back as I waited and came out with whom I guess was his manager. All three of these employees I have never seen. Her name was Crystal. Crystal went on to explain that everything is inventoried and that they no longer can give out anything...I asked when this policy changed and she said 6-8 months ago. I Explained I've gotten one just 3-4 weeks ago. She replied I can't control the employee who is pressured or bullied into giving you one. That statement really upset me. As much as they charge for a movie and the cost of snacks I have to say.. that's ridiculous. They did sell me a small $5.83 popcorn bag without popcorn. I will no longer be attending this theater, I hope Gateway treats their patrons better!! STOP THE INSANITY!!!!

Seats are okay, screens are great, sound systems are incredible and immersive. Prices are incredibly reasonable, staff is attentive, friendly and accommodating. But, the food prices are a tad high, order only what you need, or if you have the money buy what you want. Still I come here to watch all the movies I want to see, usually great because it’s not too busy. I’ve seen at least 3 films there more than once. I will definitely come back as long as I live in the area.

I've been coming to this theater for years and have always been pleased. Typically the theater is a little under staffed but has always been satisfactory. This was my first poor experience. I clearly asked for a 7:00 specific movie showing but the associate sold me a 7:30 ticket for the wrong movie. I realized I was in the wrong theater after the movie didn't start on time and went back out to check with the associate. I pulled my ticket out and pointed out what he did and barely even received an apology. I picked the movie time based on my schedule after working all day. It's only 30 minutes but it's 30 minutes of my time that I'll never get back.

The theatre is nice and cozy. The ticket prices are great and the staff have always been friendly. We buy the popcorn bucket every year as well. The concessions are a little pricey, but that's to be expected at any theatre. We would rather spend our time traveling to Frank's in PA and watching a movie than going to Frederick.

Very clean theater with many theatres plus hot pop corn. Nice game area. Seating in the lobby while waiting is nice.
