Situated in North Etobicoke, the Franklin Carmichael Art Centre is a humble centre for the Arts geared towards providing the community with timeless art and a variety of educational classes.
Originally this centre housed a small body of artists in the near community but now classes are offered to adults, teens and children to come and explore.
Adult classes include: water colour, portrait studio, design and composition, oil & acrylic, open studio, plein-air/studio.
We offer a selection of teen classes including 2D Animation/Storyboarding, Teen Drawing and Portfolio Preparation, Teen Oil & Acrylic and our latest, Tools, Techniques and Talents.
Children’s classes include Creative Mechanics for Kids, 2D Animation/Storytelling and Art after School. Classes range from beginning to intermediate allowing everyone to come and explore their artistic abilities. Our summer camp runs from July – August and allows youth to draw, paint and sculpt in a fun and creative environment.
Our members are actively involved in the community participating in Juried Art Shows and Civic Centre Art Events where they are supported and encouraged by the FCAG to show case their art work.
