Story

Franny’s Farm was founded in 2012 by Jeff, Frances, Zach & Blue Tacy. Our farm is located in Leicester, North Carolina only 10 miles from downtown Asheville. We are dedicated to family, sustainability, ethical business and offering an organic farm for visitors to celebrate, learn, explore, relax and have a memorable time. Franny’s Farm is at the core an organic, sustainable farm that is home to many animals such as chickens, turkeys, sheep, goats and a donkey. There are vegetable, fruit, flower, bee and pollinator gardens as well as a u-pick blueberry hill. We serve as an event venue and host farm weddings and festivals such as Farm Fest & Asheville BARNAROO. Our facility is available for public and private events, educational opportunities, and getaways in our eco cabins.

You have to stay here! This place can accommodate large groups, families, couples, individuals... We already want to return and bring our whole tribe. The people are warm and welcoming, the place is nice and clean, the views are breathtaking, and there is so much to do. My kids had a blast and so did we. We stayed in a tent and glamped, and it was easy peasy because of the community building with a kitchen, bathroom, and showers..but can't wait to come back and try the other options too! 
Mornings with kiddos here are great because you can wake up and they're instantly entertained by the gardens, animals, trees, mountains, canoing, and mega slides. 
The people running the farm are so kind, engaging, and warm.

Within minutes of arrival my wife told me that I made a great mistake....  She never imagined there was a place like this where you could stay in relative comfort and privacy while still getting the benefits of farm scenery....  LOVED everything about the people, lodge, location, and animals....  Amazing to see how much work they've done in the last 4.5 years....    Very glad I took a chance on a different kind of experience;  my wife and kids are still talking about it....  Thanks much...

I had the pleasure of staying in one of the Eco cabins on Franny's Farm. Franny, Jeff and Corissa are all incredibly warm & accommodating hosts and sincerely concerned about your comfort. The cabin was tasteful, clean, cozy and comfortable. The community kitchen and restrooms were very clean and fairly spacious. The barn or event center is spacious and comfortably decorated and has a wood burner for cooler evenings. Thank you, I loved my stay in the "Bowl of Heaven"!
