I have been wanting to try this spot for so long and I finally got the chance. I called in my order of the chic'ken cutlet sandwich and yes it's 100% vegan. When I arrived I parked locally on the street. I walked in and a man that was cutting up food asked if he could help. I told him my name and he said a few more minutes. My food came out about 3 minutes later. I paid a little over $17 and left. When I got home I dug in. The sandwich was huge. It had a good taste to it as well. I definitely would like to try more things at this restaurant.
Food is amazing! Flavorful and abundant! Buffalo Chick'n Mac n Cheese is a must Owner was super nice. Easy online ordering and quick pickup. Looks like they do catering too.
I don’t ever leave reviews in fact I never have but this is some of the worse vegan food I’ve had. I got the margarita pizza an it looked nothing like the photo on the site and tasted like cardboard. 0 flavor. The cookies were Aldi very chalky. Empanadas were ok . You can find much better places with a similar menu I’d suggest doing that .
First time coming to freakin’ vegan with my family. Oh my god! Everything that we order was freaking delicious and fresh. We ordered the buffalo chicken Mac and cheese, buffalo sliders, chicken parm, and chicken cutlet sub. I can’t say it enough everything was well cooked and delicious. I’m will definitely be back. Recommend to anyone who’s looking for a fresh and tasteful meal.
Very uninspiring. Having read the reviews I was looking forward to trying this place. The Philly empanada was almost hard to eat. If there was any “cheese”, onions or peppers in there, they got by me undetected. The crust was okay but a little too dry. The mac and cheese was a huge disappointment. I had some when it first arrived and reheated it an hour later and it became an oily messy First time in my life I think I never finished a pasta dish. There are so many ways to make inspiring vegan food and this is just throwing a bunch of oily fake ingredients together to mimic their non vegan counterparts. I would not recommend.
I was a bit underwhelmed by the food and don’t think it lived up to the hype. The max and cheese was very dry and didn’t have too much flavor. The “pulled pork” sliders were okay. I give them an extra star for good portions but I don’t think I would be back.
I was in a pinch and found Freakin’ Vegan close by for lunch while on the road yesterday. I ordered the Plant Based Shredded Chicken Empanadas, a Buffalo Mac n Cheese Empanada, and a Chicken Parm Sub. I was not disappointed! After paying for my food and about to walk out, I was greeted by one of the chefs with a slice of plant based pizza to make up for the wait. After devouring the slice of pizza that tasted very traditional, I dug into the shredded empanadas which were amazing. I’m a bland eater most times so besides the hint of olive, it mainly tasted of chicken, rice and cheese. With the right sauce, these would satisfy anybody, so order the sauce of your choice if you want full flavor. The Buffalo Mac n Cheese Empanada was next, and did not disappoint. Although the Buffalo flavor was not as strong as I anticipated, it was still delicious and had a great ratio between the crispy shell, and Mac noodles inside. The Chicken Parm was saved for dinner. I felt like I was on a cloud while eating it. As a plant based eater, I rarely get the equivalent to the real thing, but this was it! This place is a hidden gem in my book that I will return to.
This place is now a definitely a favorite. We were iffy in between from the experience from last night from another restaurant. And we’re also in love with the one we had reviewed before but this definitely takes the cake. Meatball sandwich, mac & cheese and empanadas is definitely a win. Especially if it’s all vegan. The store owner is very friendly and caring about his customers he was very friendly to me and offered a lot of insight and other places especially because I’m a new vegan. I highly recommend this place make sure you give him his business he definitely deserves it. Don’t take my word for it come try it yourself.
Tried their broccoli and cheddar empanadas, buffalo chicken Mac & cheese and pulled pork sliders at VegFest. The max & cheese is very good and creamy and great with the buffalo chicken- couldn’t tell it was vegan. I liked the empanada dough. The pulled pork sliders were a little on the sweet slide but also good.
Stopped here after an event nearby after reading all the reviews…my Chkn Parm was delicious!!! Sometimes vegan meats can taste artificial or “rubbery” but my sandwich was tasty. Portions were generous, as I had to wrap half of my sandwich for later & it was piping hot when I picked it up. The owner was very friendly as well. Looking forward to trying something else off the menu when I’m in the area again.
