I went here craving fried fish and they did not disappoint! The fish is made by order so it’s hot and fresh! Portion size are enough for leftovers. The best apart about is they don’t use that pack fish and I love that! The sides are amazing. Best soul food spot in queens!

The food here is delicious!! I got the whiting with Mac and Yams and my bf got 10 piece wings with Mac and Yams. The best part is that the meats were cooked made to order and they used fresh whiting filets and not the frozen ones. We drove all the way from Nassau County and couldn’t be more pleased. We will be back :

The shrimp and grits with cheese had me  The greens were savory and Mac and cheese was just right. My favorite soul-food spot

It was a delightful experience! The atmosphere was cozy and inviting, the food was delicious, and the service was outstanding. If you're ever in town, I highly recommend stopping by Frederick's Soul Hole!

First time here , and I will give it a three stars , ribs was pretty small look and taste like baby back but sweet sauce on them , mac and chez was real good, yams was ok I  had better, potato salad was not good to much mustard it was over bearing. Last thing I asked was there a folk in the bag and guess what it was not in there, but thank God I had one in my work truck , but it was extra napkins.  Only dessert they had was banana pudding

Fredrick the owner was there with his son. They were very pleasant and polite. Fredrick made sure my children got the type of food they wanted and everything was made fresh. The only complaint is the seating. They have high top bar style tables that is not a norm in a soulfood spot. Also the tables are not level and can tip over easliy. Lastly this style of seating isn't safe for small children. Just keep in mind that items are made fresh so expect a 30min wait or more for food. But the food is absolutely delicious. Will definitely come again.

I hate when southern restaurants use accent seasoning. It gives people heart palpitations.  I had ur food for the first time 2day and it was delicious.  I love to support my people

The food & service is excellent. I lived in this community my whole life & must say it's been over 20 years since we had a great quality clean soul food restaurant.

The service was great, the spot is very clean and the food is was good... I will definitely be going back!!! Oh yeah and wife liked the pork chops brothers!!!!****
