Cozy fresh food shared with a friend on a cold winter day. The food tastes like elevated homemade, the location is optimal with plenty of parking around, and the service was attentive with a smile . I marked the atmosphere down one star for the music selection though my friend enjoyed it which shows you will never please everyone in this department. I will definitely return!!
It’s hard to put into words the energy you feel when you walk in. Kindness, Frederick, heart- and add in roasted veggies and amazing soups? This place has a place in my heart forever! Give it a try if you’re looking for warming soups in the winter, amazing sandwiches, and cooling gazpachos in the summer…. They sell out, so be sure to visit them earlier than later!!!! :
My husband and I discovered this hidden gem and have been coming weekly because of how incredibly fresh and flavorful the food is. Every week the menu switches up so you’re always able to try something new. The soups are absolutely delicious and the sandwiches are amazing too. One of the sandwiches, the Italian, they’ve kept on the menu weekly and my husband says it’s the best sandwich he has ever eaten. The owners are incredibly friendly and the atmosphere is super great. Definitely give this place a try - you’ll keep coming back!!
Can't recommend this enough. Whether eating in or carrying out, this place is appetizing. Cosy and casual, the atmosphere is as comforting as the food. I had the jambalaya and sat at the counter. Service takes care of you; they let you sample the soup before you order, but you can count on everything being delicious. The menu, though small, rotates weekly, so one never runs out of things to try. I can't believe I hadn't popped in sooner, but now that I'm in the know, I will be back. This is definitely a must eat for Frederick fare.
Such a great find if you love great soups. The other food looks delicious but I drive from Martinsburg specifically for the soups. The two ownersI think are pleasant, professional and just overall nice. Worth the drive and would be there more if it wasn’t 45 minutes or more to get there. Love the place!Food: 5/5
Spicy sweet potato and carrot soup was perfect with warm fall flavors, not hot spicy but a comforting bowl. I highly recommend!Food: 5/5
This place and staff are so lovely! We stopped by after hiking Annapolis rock and the staff and food were so delightful!! The soup is some of the best I have ever had- we ended up buying about 50 bucks of soup to go! We got mushroom prosciutto soup and sausage and potato soup. They also serve great teas and coffees made fresh and clearly with love! They have a few sandwich options as well. You can tell the food is made with passion. The place itself has a unique aesthetic and seating options both in and outside. I will probably end up making a trip to Frederick to go back it was so good!
The food is cleverly made with fresh, healthy ingredients and tastes AMAZING! If you’ve never stopped in, I highly recommend a visit. I tried the cilantro-lime tuna salad wrap that was wonderful. And, after taste-testing the Watermelon Strawberry Gazpacho, I HAD to order some to go for my dinner. It really hit the spot on a hot day and it tasted SO delicious that I tipped my bowl to my mouth to finish every single drop! Adam and Kat are such down-to-earth people that are very easy to talk to. Very nice folks! They work hard to run this small business that packs a big punch full of flavor!! Kudos to Adam’s creativity!!
Started our road trip from DC to LA and picked this as our first lunch break, and what a great decision. Fantastic food, great quality ingredients, and unique options like their chilled fruit soup. The interior was true to name and we felt right at home in our comfy corner. Staff were super nice as well. Only note is if you go on a hot day, no AC so just set your expectations. But that being said, the heat only made us appreciate the chilled soup and smoothie that much more.
We have been going to Frederick soups and comfort foods almost every Friday when we are in town. The soups are excellent, try the mulligatawny or the chicken pot pie, my favorites. They also make a really good cup of cappuccino. I'm usually too full after the soup to eat a whole sandwich but order one and take half home for later they are delicious. The menu changes often, daily? So there's always something different to try. Frederick Soups is small a little fun funky kind of place. The owners are the cooks and wait staff and are right there to help. Three or four tables inside and a couple more outside, so get there before this place gets popular. The owners are so nice l'd like to see this place do well. On the other hand it's nice to be able to go in right now and get a great bowl of soup and a sandwich with having to fight a crowd. Oh lest I forget I tried the homemade gnocchi and mushrooms and they were the best I've hade outside of Italy. Give Frederick soups and comfort foods at124 S Carroll a try.
