Formerly Winn-Dixie. The place got renovated less than 2 months ago and recently opened with this new name. It's very well stocked now, it has a Deli/Cafeteria and even a $1 section which comes very handy when you're looking for utensils and kitchen products. It has plenty of Spanish food items and the produce section is nicely presented and kept looking fresh. For me this is a plus! I often find myself buying my produce and fruits at Publix because this section is always impeccable. Sometimes it's worth to sacrifice a couple bucks for quality. Right now the prices are very very good. I hope they maintain the prices competitive.

First visit this morning and I was pleased. I can speak enough Spanish when necessary, but didn't. I found all employees I encountered had no problem speaking English. I also saw some employees that I believe did not speak Spanish. Everyone was very pleasant and helpful. My only complaint is they ran out of flyers and no hours listed on Google. There is no reason for that omission. I had the flyer at home and it just mentioned opening 8am, when is that ? No complete hours on the ad or online. I will be going back tomorrow and observe for impressions again. Second visit and it was excellent. Walked around and found lots of items that I would not find in a regular supermarket. And again, everyone was very helpful and pleasant..............and spoke English.

I personally enjoyed going here. The prices were nice. It was just a little full but what can you do. It’ll eventually go down. Also, everyone saying that “this is America, speak some English”. As someone who is Cuban, that is completely disrespectful as this is a SPANISH STORE. The labels are also in English. And there is a lot of staff who speak English. Please realize that the sole purpose of the United States was for a fresh start in a different country.

Went there yesterday for the first time since the switch over. I have never encountered more rude people, both the staff and the customers. Not a sole on the staff could speak any English. No one can help you. OK I get a Mexican market. I buy a few things and go home. The hamburger meat has these black blueish spots in it, on closer examination its a piece of a label or paper, like it got ground up in it, GROSS!! chuck that. I also purchased some frozen and fresh veggies. The frozen items were a off brand and when i opened them it looked like they had been thawed and frozen again, brown, shriveled, We could not even eat them. 48 bucks later and I have nothing I can eat, keep or use....disgusting store. So rude non English speaking staff and sub par food....yeah...never again!

How does this company justify and / or explain this : I picked up several all Spanish language flyers advertising job openings and the introduction of the re branding of what used to be the Winn Dixie store on Sheldon and Waters ( Tampa , FL) I distributed flyers to eager folks looking for work in my community . I filled out an application online for a relative and drove 2 relatives for a face to face application and interview on 04/02/2018 . Well they were denied jobs because they did not speak English ! To work in cafeteria , deli , or bakery ! BUT your company is targeting a totally Latino market and consumers ! Your ads , your store name is in Spanish ! These relatives and friends would be an asset to your company , they are decent, hard working , reliable individuals . Your company would be proud to call them your employees . The best form of communication is good job performance !!
