I scheduled Richard to paint my sons' small nursery; we spoke on a Monday and made the appointment for the following Friday.  Ten minutes before he is scheduled to show up (at 8 am) he calls to tell me he's at another job and cannot come until noon.  When I explain I had arranged my work appointments to be available in the morning- because we had an APPOINTMENT -  and a 10 minute warning was not really fair (why had he not called the evening before, at least??) I offered a 3pm time slot - to which he said was too late because the job would last a few hours - apparently working until 5pm is too late for this company.  I offered anytime on Saturday, but I suppose he doesn't work weekends, either.  Business must be good because he not only lost business for this one room,  but had this gone well, we were going to re-do our entire house with him.  Not anymore; Richard was unprofessional and rude, he raised his voice at me when I complained about him not keeping his appointment - going as far as saying he was "doing me a favor" by making the appointment so quickly - funny how I asked him how soon he was available and he said Thursday or Friday, I just picked Friday because I knew my schedule was lighter that day.  This company is unreliable and the owner is unprofessional, I would not recommend them to anyone.
