We had Fresh Start do a complete renovation of our kitchen including removing a wall, adding a window, moving plumbing, and everything else kitchen renovation entails.  Nick gave us a very detailed estimate of the costs of the project with high and low ranges for each piece.  As the project went along he kept an eye on the costs and kept us informed of how we were doing.  In the end the project came in ON TIME and UNDER BUDGET!  Nick and his team were in contact with us daily while the project progressed and I never waited more than a business day for a response on anything.  We made decisions and changes as we went along and Fresh Start was very flexible.  The plumbing and electric subcontractors were great, as were the Fresh Start carpenters and other laborers.  We will use Fresh Start again when we do more work on our house.

I highly recommend using Fresh Start for home renovations. The foundation of my home is stronger, healthier, and warmer after working with Ben and the Fresh Start team. My home in Cambridge, MA is over 100 years old, and this was my first major renovation. Fresh Start made it flow seamlessly.

Ben found me the most competitive prices without comprising integrity or quality of the work, while being respectful and understanding of my timeline and budget.  He was able to answer all of my questions, address all of my concerns, and kept me well informed throughout the entire project.

The structural work consisted of adding lally columns to the girder, waterproofing and reinforcing the cellar walls, and stabilizing existing structures on the interior and exterior of the home.  The carpenters and masons are meticulous professionals, and they cleaned up after themselves and disposed of all construction debris.  I was able to observe their work, ask questions, and obtain an explanation of what they were doing without feeling intrusive.

I am extremely happy with the quality of work and the stability of my old house. I am already discussing with Ben about my next project!

Five stars for Fresh Start's reliability and accessibility.  Ben O'Sullivan-Pierce was always available--day or night--to answer questions and concerns, and keep us posted about what to expect as the work progressed.  In addition to fine carpentry and masonry work, they gave good advice on such finish items as choice of decorative woods and paint colors.  They worked with us to transform our ideas into reality.

We had Ben do a full remodel of our basement including demo of the old walls / studs / ceiling / flooring, full waterproofing (installation of an interior french drain system), and re-finishing everything to create a very nice playroom and excercise room with bar area. Overall it was a very good experience and it came out great. Ben and his subs were proffesional, responsive, and organized. As I wanted to do a little of the work myself to save money and prove to myself that I am at least a little handy, Ben worked with me to schedule around my interventions. They all (Ben & his subs) struck a good balance between keeping me and my wife informned, consulting with us when needed, and making good decisions on their own. I would absolutely use them again and / or recommend them to a friend.
