Under new ownership. Unfortunately, they haven’t taken down the old photos of the dishes they no longer have that are still posted when you walk in. However, their smaller menu is delicious. The banchan was tasty but spicy which some may not like. We took a friend that was gluten free and they server did the best he could to accommodate and even went above and beyond to check some ingredients to make sure. Everything we had was delicious, the 3 of us shared 4 dishes and were more than full. The new owners definitely made sure to step up their game as we didn’t enjoy the place when we went years ago.
Came here with my wife for dinner on a Tuesday. It was somewhat busy, but we were still seated right away. We were provided a menu and given a moment to look at it before getting our drink order in. We just got one beer to share and water. The server showed up size options for the beer since they came either a can or large bottle. We were given another moment to decide on our food order, which we ordered Japche and Bulgogi. We were provided a large selection of Banchan which is complimentary at most Korean restaurants. The Banchan were good but nothing special. The Japche and Bulgogi were delicious and better than a couple other places in San Diego we've tried. The server was around if we needed anything. The place had a good feel to it with decorations. We would come back for more if craving Korean.
I am very concerned about the food quality. I got an upset stomach after dinner with it! Will never never never come back again. It almost ruined my trip in San Diego! Really bad experience there also. No any service at all. Food are coming but no any utensils on the table. Really bad experience . I don’t know why there is such a high ratings. The seafood pancake is the worst I have ever had. And the squils inside are the main potential cause of my upset stomach. The fried rice is just so so. And all the small plates are not fresh at all. Really bad experience
Food is bomb, vibes are comfy, folks are super nice and food came out so fast! Felt welcome even dining solo, thanks y’all! Soft tofu soup with kimchi hit the spot Food: 5/5
Not authentic korean. I dont understand the 5 stars.. it’s overrated. Maybe it was better before but the food is just not good these days. The interior needs big improvement too. I ordered tteokboki the mochi is very hard the other instant tteokboki that u can buy from groceries are better and it also comes with sausage.. like what the heck?! I lost appetite by looking at it. Thats the first time i saw a tteokboki with sausage pls dont include that. Im asian and the food just didnt please me. Ive been to many authentic korean restos and this is just not it! We also ordered bibimbap, nothing special with it just ingredients that has been put in the bowl, it will be nice to have a special sauce for it. My hubby ordered a soup and the noodles are like those from instant ramen packs, he can actually make a better soup. We came here for the good reviews but we got so disappointed.
Amazing food at this place, authentic Korean cuisine. It was a bit packed so our table was ignored in terms of service, had to hail down the server multiple times for napkins and water. The rice cake was really good, not too gochujang-y if you know what I mean. The BBQ options seemed really good and it was delicious, the portion of meat seems pretty decent for its price, kimchi jigae was pretty good but just not my taste, if you want something less acidic, I’d recommend the Soon dobutofu soup. Great place overall.
The ban chan was average. The seafood pancake was ok. The bulgogi was average. I’m not really a fan. The service was impeccable! I love the people, the food, not so much. The seafood tofu soup? It was ok.Food: 3/5
Great service first, they gave my toddlers a toy and a pouch of seaweeds, which they loved! At the end, we got ice cream sandwich on the house, we really appreciate all the goodies. However, the food in general is salty! The soondubu tofu was salty even though the Tofu was silky. The short ribs soup with vermicelli was salty, not worth the price at all. The seafood pancake has no taste and too lose, doesn't have the chewy and crunchy texture. The best value was the sweet beef bulgogi rice plate, very generous portion and flavorful.
We came here for dinner for the first time. We saw the reviews were very good so decided to try. We ordered mackerel and seafood tofu soup. The food and small dishes were delicious. Friendly staffs and great service!Recommended dishes
Good food. We got the fried rice bowls. One beef and mine was fried tofu which I had to ask for 3 times. We sat for 10 min at least and before I got up to ask if we were supposed to order at the counter. They said "no", and came to table for our order. Service is sub par. I had to go up to the counter 5 times as there really wasn't any service coming to our table. They also don't have dessert. Lots of food for what you get and tastes yummy.
