We are an unprogrammed Quaker Meeting in the heart of Washington, DC. All are welcome. Visit www.quakersdc.org to learn more about worship, events and opportunities for service.
Historic Quaker Meetinghouse built in 1930 under the Hoover Administration, includes a wide range of seekers who are actively engaged, individually and collectively, in spiritual journey and in service to the world. Five weekly worship services practicing silent, Spirit-led listening. Active programs for children, teens, and young adults, and spiritual and service groups.
FMW seeks to be a place of radical welcome where we come to find rest, where we discover startling Light reflected in ourselves and others, and where we mine the strength and resolve we need to face and mend a broken world.
Meetings for Worship are held on Sundays at 9:00 AM in the Parlor, 10:30 in Quaker House Living Room (with a special concern for Gays, Lesbians, Bisexuals and Transgenders) and in the Meeting Room, and 6:00 PM in Decatur Place Room. A midweek Meeting for Worship is held at 7:00 PM on Wednesdays. Everyone welcome at all meetings.
