It’s always a GREAT time here. Parking is right if you get there after 930/10 any night! The drinks will drink you! Lol. If you don’t like being around a lot of people/it being packed then don’t show up after 1030/11 any night. Oohhhhh but if you like friendly funny staff and a great time then go here! Smile, dance, drink, play pool, repeat!!
Another awesome Tuesday night spot. The bartenders are everything and the Karaoke people. Boy, stop the buses and get off. They do it big and the talent in that place.Service: 5/5
It’s sad that every time I visit it mad love. But today I came and waited for hour in line and never got in! They allow people to bust in front multiple time and never got in is ridiculous! Security never checked the person or address the ones that busy with 5 plus people. They need a better system and new security guard management!Service: 1/5

I am a career bartender and I will say I am honest when it comes to critics of other bartenders, I sat down and waited 27 minutes to be served. Both bartenders made direct eye contact and repeatedly served other guests who were walking up to the bar rather than even saying “hello” I actually will say this was the worst service I’ve ever had on the other side of the bar ever. I still tipped my %20 percent as that’s the bare minimum but I would never ever step inside this establishment again because of the service and the service alone. It’s also a dive bar and I imagine because I had to wave and say excuse me to the bartender after 27 minutes!!!!!! I timed it on my phone I was charged 45 dollars for two drinks while my friend who walked in with me and sat down next to me and talked to me for 27minutes!!!!! He Was greeted with “I see you were here first but since he is waving and trying to get my attention I’ll take care of him first.” Talking about me to the friend that I brought to the bar!so tacky so hateful so rude. - honestly I could imagine if this bar had professional bartenders. It would make a killing. Matter of fact - reach out I’m googlable.
originally wanted to go to mjq for an after hours spot on a wednesday but there were so many college kids waiting, we decided to go to friends. because we had just left another party, my friend and i decided to go to the bathroom together. mind you, no one was in line. another friend knocks on the door to come in so we let them. we literally did the same at the first event we were at. it saves time. no big deal. less than five minutes, security comes banging on the door saying we have 15 seconds to get out or - i’m assuming he’s gonna bust the door in. me, finished, complies and leaves the bathroom. one of my friends is still peeing. he tells me i need to leave. i tell him i need to tell my other 6/7 friends but he wouldn’t let me. he’s using his body, shielding me from leaving the restroom/front door area. he was super aggressive, while i was being level headed and speaking in a normal tone. after we got out, he pointed to the door that there’s “one person at a time” on the door. there’s also a million other things on the door. during a night out of drinking, your first inclination is to go to an empty bathroom - not stop to read what’s on the door. i understand rules but that entire interaction was blown out of proportion and really embarrassing. we were using the restroom. and as femme people, that’s a common thing at clubs - for a multitude of reasons. we weren’t even there enough time to sit down before being aggressively removed from the establishment. anyways, just don’t go into the bathroom with anyone else and maybe you’ll have a decent night.
Friends on Ponce is a great place to experience a wonderful night in Midtown. Go alone you will be entertained. Go with people you like, you will have an exceptional time. Go with friends and you make a couple of new ones before you leave. Drinks are stiff, bartenders are fast, music is dictated by the crowd. Play pool and video games, play the people you're around. However if you play with "Friends on Ponce", you'll be playing together regularly! One of the most diverse bars I choose to frequently patronize because of the Wonderful times I've had every time I go. Mid day snacks are complimentary on certain days and Plenty of Fun on many different levels are awaiting you to enjoy! Don't forget poker nights on certain evenings as well. The LGBT community are the primary guests here but don't fret, breeders have an abundant amount of great times here as well.
Typical dive bar except there is no DJ here, no food, and it's mostly for gay men, but always have fun being there with my friends Service: 3/5
Friday nights are the nights I go. Idk about other nights but this bar is very cool. It seems to be more urban on Fridays. The music is nice. They have outside seating and a bar out there. They could have more bartenders and another restroom because both lines moves very slow. Oh yeah, they charge $5.00 USD to get in.Service: 3/5
