Training is paramount to honing the skills of the  members of this department and the experience shows as many are full time fire, emergency, rescue and safety responders for their full-time jobs, at area corporations and companies. The Fire Division's rigorous training and improved services in the community and has resulted in lowered fire insurance costs and a safer community.. The EMS Division has won several national awards over the last few years for both volunteer and part-time para-medics/medics based on their effectiveness and training.
