While not the largest shop for wine, beer & spirits, staff are extremely kind and knowledgeable.

I Went here with with a friend of mine yesterday. The guy working there was helpful until my friend listened to a voicemail on his phone while checking out. The worker suddenly got very offended and told us to go F ourselves as we walked out the door. I get it if people get offended over something like this but this isn't how you treat customers. I would have loved to talk to the owner prior to posting this but I couldn't figure out who that was.

1. rude. The clerk, guy with slicked back hair and two earrings started off by insulting whiskey, saying 'he doesn't like the sour mash stuff" and shoving a bottle of some unknown bourbon in my hands. Personally, I don't know how you can talk down about Gentleman Jack. At this store, Gentleman Jack is on their "top shelf", which is a rickety, poorly installed picture frame shelf from a yard sale or something. I reached for the bottle and the guy yelled at me saying I'll owe $5000 when I break something. The bottle was easily within reach, but he yelled at me and made me step back while he got a step stool. Ok, I get it, you want to retrieve the bottles, but you don't have to be a jerk about it. Then, when checking out, he literally scoffs out loud when I am ask him to confirm that a 12 pack + 2 bottles of normal liquor is over $80. I didn't know I was getting ripped off until I checked out. He threw out one more jerk comment about another bottle my friends and I were talking about, then we decided to leave...almost without our beverages. Ironically, I don't recall ever asking him for any of his opinions, but we got plenty of them. Looking back, we all wish I had just walked out. 2. total rip-off. Drive 10 minutes down the road to City Liquors in Breckenridge and you'll probably find everything want for 40% less. The bottle of Gentleman Jack was $48. City Liquors in Breck had it for $30. We also overpaid for multiple cases of beer and 4-5 other bottles of liquor. In retrospect, I'm pretty pissed.
