Almost a year ago we had the sad passing of my dad.He was to be cremated,most family members and friends were out of country.So we decided to hold the most intimate "goodbye".....only my mother,my sister with her family and my family.My father was a veteran.We were all informed how things would be handled;so we were prepared.
However,never expected the service and consideration we were welcomed with.They had dressed my dad in provided outfit,placed him inside a beautiful coffin,two tall standing candle/lamps and the most  impressive (specially for my mother) THE AMERICAN FLAG folded/triangle....Impressive.
I just want to remind readers that a cadaver thats to be cremated is placed inside a carton box,
We had no service,nor flowers,......we didn't believe all extra expenses were needed.
Family members (12 people) prayed,said their goodbye,cried.....
The extra,above&beyond gestures,were greatly appreciated.SUPER-HEART-WARMING-PERSONAL touch.
