I went here on Sunday with my parent's nephews and niece, and I have to say, great experience since i came here last time when i was a young lad/ mid teens back in the early-mid 2000s. The staff were friendly, and the DJ (drew) was super cool with my request of a 70s track. Games during the 2-5 time were fun as i remember them on the rink. The AC was nice and refreshing as I skated slowly after a long workout of skating. I do however miss the original old Cal Skate look. I miss the triangles on the floors (floors covered with skates was alright with me), the rock climb (which was taken out, I'm not sure why they took it out for a Hawaii based sit down), I miss the old shirt with the hippo skating logo like outside, and some of the old school arcade games I remember like the hit the mole back into the hole one, and the throwing the footballs into the holes game. But they do still have the party rooms the same way I remember them. They also do have still some old games with the new games which is fine with me. I'm just old school I guess. I at least wish I can see the shirt again and buy it. It was still old Cal Skate to me and it was like old times. Thanks Cal Skate for not updating the place too much. This is the place to skate and have fun. I'm glad it's still around.

I've been going here since I was a little kid. Love bringing my girlfriends little brother here as well. Staff is always friendly, great food and always a welcoming environment! Haven't been recently due to money issues but hopefully get to come down and skate soon!!

This place is great but likely only because there is nothing else like it in town. Check out the website because they have some fun creative perk days that I think are very cool.

Still love this place after all these years. My six-year-old daughter loves going here to skate. Great family fun!

Haven't been in a decade or more. But from what I remember it was clean fun and the staff was wonderful. Was thinking of taking my 5 year old son there soon. What would you recommend?
