Gallery Animato was started in 1992 by Bob and Elaine Athey. Setting up shop in Birmingham, Michigan, Gallery Animato was instantly the go-to destination for animation art in the Metro-Detroit area. Since then, the Gallery has moved to Royal Oak, and now to the east side in Grosse Pointe Park. Moving isn't the only thing they've done in the last couple years. Since 92, Gallery Animato has become a prime source, not only for animation, but for vintage movie posters, vintage rock and roll memorabilia, and the best framing around.
