Absolutely no words to describe our dining experience here tonight! Food, presentation, ambiance and service was “top notch”! This is by far one of the better restaurants we have tried lately. The price point is very accurate with the quality you receive. We definitely over ordered, but we are glad we did so we could try a lot. I would give them more than 5 stars if possible!
Do yourself a favor and visit this lovely restaurant in North Bergen, NJ! The ambiance is very welcoming and charming. The service is unrivaled and the staff truly cares about your experience and are extremely knowledgeable and make great recommendations. The food is absolutely amazing and everything we tasted melted in other mouths. It was absolutely the best meal we have had in a while. This cozy restaurant really has left us with the best impression! I cannot stress how hospitable the hosts were, how delicious the dishes were and how beautiful presentation was of each plate was. There is a very nice wine list and wonderful dessert options to choose from. I really recommend this restaurant to everyone! I will definitely be coming back here again and again. It’s a great experience.
This is my first time here and my experience here was absolutely delightful. We arrived a little later because we had just gotten back from NYC. We came about an hour before closing and we never felt rushed to hurry up and finish our meal. Both the employees that served us were absolutely kind and wonderful. The food was absolutely delicious. I had the Pan Seared Filet Mignon, and it was amazing. The steak was great! We enjoyed our night immensely. We had the strawberry cheesecake for a dessert , and it was splendid.
The restaurant itself is very beautiful, clean, and cute.The food was delicious, fancy, and authentic. The service by Lou and Miguel Angel was simply incredible and went beyond my expectations. I certainly couldn't have asked for a better place to have my dinner with family.Food: 5/5
I was on the hunt for a new place to eat and a friend suggested this Italian gem. I went to visit and was not disappointed. This is real authentic Italian food and I’ll definitely be going back. Thank you to Gallo Nero and the team for their hospitality.
Nice Italian restaurant. The owner was here working and it’s a family owned chain for over 20 years. They bring warm bread and oil with seasonings. Very nice touch. Appreciate that it’s warm bread, lol. I got the fettuccine, and oof it was a bit heavy. I’m also generally not a fan of shrimp, but the owner recommended it for me so I gave it a try. WOW I dunno how this shrimp was cooked and seasoned but I really enjoyed it. I hadn’t enjoyed shrimp like this before. The noodles were good, too! But it just ended up being too much food for me. Would be nice if there were smaller portions since I hate wasting food. Hey, I might have been full from dinner, but I always have room for dessert. He didn’t seem to have a dessert menu, which is rough for me because I need to look at things, so I went with the caramel custard. It was flan, lol. The presentation was super cute, though and the strawberries were a nice offset to the sugar. I also had a pretty nice long chat with the owner and he was cool and friendly. If I’m ever in the area again, I’ll try the other desserts and bring a friend along. Apparently there are other locations, one in NYC and another in Jersey somewhere.
This place is absolutely amazing. Lou Luigi was a great server. He is well educated and versed on the plates he is serving- not just doing a job. The food is absolutely delicious; super flavorful and doesn’t give you a heavy feeling when done. The ambiance is great and gives you a feeling that you’re in a truly Italian restaurant. I had the stuffed salmon- OMMGGGGG! Try it.
I loved this restaurant. The food is really amazing. The gentleman who works there, I don't know if he is the owner or an employee, is a very kind and attentive person. The place conveys calm and peace. I recommend it to anyone who wants to eat real traditional Italian cuisines.
This is an amazing place!! The food, ambience, and service is spectacular! Great portions and great taste. Amazing calamari, melts in your mouth and the tiramisu is homemade and delicious. We will definitely visit again and will be recommending Gallo Nero to everyone!
It's a perfect place to spend with family and friends. The food was outstanding, best in the area and the service provided by Miguel Angel was excellent, he went above and beyond my expectations. Everybody was friendly. I can't wait to go back.
