Vietnamese noodles -Pho, pronounced like the end of sofu in Asian countries. But here in the US go ahead and call it "Foe". Because in the US we might require a spin on the originals but I love how we have changed the pronunciation and added a plate full of sprouts, slices of jalapenos, that special basil is still there, and a good old fashioned lime wedge. I think everything else about the soup is very traditional. Virginia and Maryland DC area really do have some of the best Vietnamese noodles in the world! This restaurant helps that claim. I also enjoyed how attentive they were. Vegetarian options: Vegetarian spring rolls and Pho. I wasn't a big fan of how they fry their tofu.
Order from here weekly. Love seeing the team, and their food is always so consistently delicious.Food: 5/5
Nice service, good food. Enjoyed the summer rolls and beef stew. Hope to come back soon.Food: 5/5
I'm under the impression that it changed ownership. So I don't know how it was before. I'm giving it a 3 star because the pho is bland. Flavorless, tasteless. Couldn't taste the hours of preparation that normally goes into creating a delicious broth. The fried spring rolls were 5/5. This was the only thing that saved them from receiving a 1 star.
This is one of those places that from the outside you wouldn't give it a second thought. But trust me, go in! The service is friendly and the Pho is amazing. It may not be the flashiest place you have ever been, but really, who cares. The food is great! Don't pass this place by, go in and enjoy!
Food is good, but has changed a lot under the new management. It used to feel like a nice limey broth, but has recently felt more like a light stock. It doesn't have that refreshing feel anymore, and there are a lot more noodles than meat. It's still good, but I just wish it had a little more of the acidity I used to like when it was under the new management. Also, they are missing a lot of bubble tea options, such as lychee, and should consider promoting their bobas. Maybe even a seasalt Vietnamese coffee boba.
Very, very nice staff and great service. The man who delivered the soup was exceptionally friendly. Very spartan decor, but clean. Two stars for food however because the soup broth particularly the pho ga tasted very heavily like chicken bouillon. The beef may have also had bouillon added as it had a bit of an aftertaste. The noodles were al dente, the meat a good quality, and the side plate of herbs fresh.
Disappointing menu for pho - basic plus extra cost options. The banh mi was just okay, mostly due to the somewhat stale sandwich rather than a baguette. The rice dish with pork presented well but the pork was overcooked. Service was apathetic. Appearance is a slight upgrade over the previous owner.Food: 3/5
Food is great and service is courteous. I ordered a pho soup and a rice dish to go. I really liked both and will be back for more!Food: 5/5
Food was good. Service attentive without being over bearing. But service also a bit whacky. They brought us the summer rolls and spring rolls pictured despite them not being our order. When we told them the first guy just kept going - definitely some confusion ensued. The stuff we did order was good though. I'd go back.
