We were passing through San Marcos on our way home to San Antonio from Austin. We loved that we made a good choice with this place. Everything was perfect. Chips and Salsa was delicious. Food was hot and tasty as well. Waiter was nice and made sure we were good. Definitely a good recommendation for Good Mexican food.

Went there to treat my mother in law and her mom to dinner, and it was the worst experience I've ever had, anywhere. I've liked this restaurant in the past, but I will not be back. My server had two tables, us and another table, we waited 8 minutes for him to finally show up to our table, he got our drinks, and we ordered. Half of our food came out pretty fast, half didn't come out for another 10 minutes. So I sat there and got to watch everyone else enjoy there food while waiting on mine. When I finally did get it, the chicken was very rubbery, so I'm guessing they cooked it too fast? Anyways, very gross. The server came to our table a total of 4 times. We constantly had to get up to ask for a drink refil or some more chips for our queso. All around a terrible experience.

Food was great. Had to wait a bit to get a table but it was worth the wait. One of the most authentic mexican food places I've been in Texas.

My family loves everything about this place. The Garcia's queso with sausage is amazing. Their chips and salsa never disappoints and the entree selection is perfect, even for my picky 5 year old. This is our go-to place when dining out.

We live down the road so it's a convenient place for us to eat. The food is great but my main complaint lately is the service.  My wife and I have been here 3 times in the last 6 weeks and EVERY TIME, we have terrible service! We won't be back to this one anymore because of it but will try the one on LBJ instead if that's what it takes to get good service. Hopefully it's not the same sad story, otherwise we won't eat at any Garcia's- ever again!
