To the owner: Mihir Patel, Being an Indian Immigrant, I am used to being judged by the color of my skin - as I am sure you have experienced various times in your life, especially as an Indian running an iconic wine shop in Manhattan. Today what I experienced at your store , no less doled out by your teenage son, leaves me really worried for his future and the future of this country. Your teenage son made incredibly racist remarks and treated my husband and I with utter disdain and disrespect. He told me to "Get a move on" as I was browsing for wine and almost ran me over with his cart . Upon being confronted, he told us that he did not have to be polite to us because we are ugly Indians! He screamed, "Just look at how ugly this woman is! I don't have to respect her." !!!! Is his tone reflective of the conversation and attitude in your store? Though your staff was apologetic for his behavior, they were unable to control his rants. Another man shopping in the store was deeply offended by his behavior and told him to get a grip. Your employees also mentioned how he is disrespectful towards the staff in the store. With this type of attitude towards your customers and your staff, I wonder how long you will be able to stay in business. I have shopped at Garnet for the last fifteen years and have cases of wine delivered to parties that I host. Needless to say, I will not be shopping at Garnet any longer.

Spent the ENTIRE afternoon (it is now almost 7pm) waiting for an order placed via app--and it's still not here. Staff is not organized, order tracking is abysmal. They have no idea if the order will be delivered or no. I wish I could give it ZERO stars. Waste of time and energy. Now I have to call my credit card company to do a charge back, still don't have the wine, and lost half of my Saturday. Great.

Worst front of the house customer service. New ownership (Mehir?) is awful. Go here to save a $, or if you have wine-searcher; but don't expect a good wine store with knowledge or delivery. I've given up after 12 years. Sad, as long-time employees are great.

Have shopped here for over 15 years. Polite staff but owner's teenage son is unbelievably racist. He bumped into my wife with his cart and then a little later told her to "Get a move on" as she was browsing for wine in the aisle. He told us that he did'nt have to be polite to us because we are ugly Indians! He screamed, "Just look at how ugly this woman is! I don't have to respect her." The irony is that the owner, Mihir Patel, is Indian!

The greatest wine store located at 69th & Lex. Huge selection of wines from all over at the most reasonable prices ever. On the top of that, just ask for more discount. You will see how easy it is to bargain over bargain at this place. You can walk in to store, pick your wine and get it delivered for free too. Wow these guys are amazing. I will give it 6 star if google would allow me to.
