Went here today for my mom's birthday. We've been coming to gasho for well over 15 years now probably. For the first time we opted to get our food without the hibachi chef cooking it infront of us. We got our soup and salad and after a little while we got our food. I ordered the steak and scallops. Steak was tender, veggies were fine, scallops were definitely tasty and hot. Not a huge portion of seafood in my opinion for $26. Steak and veggies were also not that hot. Felt like room temp to me like they were sitting for a bit. Would have definitely hot and nicer to get it cooked infront of us, but my family wasn't in the mood for all of the singing and yelling and other stuff.

We’ve been to a few sushi spots in the area izumi, kumo and we usually think the food is relatively the same with all hibachi. However, we were not a fan of this place. The food was okay. We ordered filet mignon, lobster, scallops, and chicken.  Service was ok as well. The hibachi chef only did the onion trick. No saki, no throwing zucchini, no egg tricks.  I would not eat here again, respectfully.

I love this place. No matter how many other hibachi places I go to, they just don't measure up to Gasho. Steak and chicken hibachi combo was excellent. Get yourself some plum wine to go with it. Sake sake sake!Food: 5/5

I never really do reviews but I had to for this place This place has horrible take out 1st they forgot my order of salmon sashimi 2nd they gave me bad avocados for my kids order 3rd the order of rice was tiny Never again Revision 1/9/23 Went back in December to eat there and had a much better experience Food was good and the chef we got was very funny So do not get take out and eat there instead Way way better

Great place for birthdays! The chefs always make it a good time with their chanting and amazing charisma! Food and sushi is always top notch.Food: 5/5

4.5 stars really... Close to work, our chef was nice, well cooked food. I love the decor both inside and out. If you're looking to get hibachi. You'll have no regrets coming here. I just wasn't blown off my socks. Cheers

Dinner with the family at Gasho of Japan in Hauppague. Onion soup, salad not shown, fried rice, melting rice snowman, food on the grill, and hibachi shrimp with vegetables and ginger soy and mustard stopping sauces.  Always a delicious and fun experience

Excellent food and service. No complaints. Best hibachi so far on Long Island.

Always have a great time when I go here, the service is good and we love the Hibachi. This day I went with one of my close girlfriends
