What really sets a car dealership apart these days?

With the many dealerships to choose from, it can be difficult for a customer to find their go-to when it comes to car buying and servicing.

The Lawson family started in the car business over 50 years ago, with a small lot in West Virginia. Since then, the ownership of the dealerships has passed from Max Lawson, who originally started in Greeneville in the 1960s, to Lennie Lawson, who now owns and operates Gateway Ford Lincoln Mazda. Since the dealership is locally and family-owned, there is a strong emphasis on creating and maintaining relationships with customers and the surrounding community.

Many dealerships can get by with poor customer service because they are in large cities and metropolitan areas where customers are a dime a dozen. That is not so with Gateway and the Lawson family. Their success and survival has been solely dependent on their continuing positive relationships with their customers. Lennie has built his dealership on the solid principals of honesty, transparency, and genuine care and concern for his customers.
