Story

The Woods Spa is located inside Gateway Lodge, Cook Forest and is open to lodge and non-lodge guests. We feature AVEDA signature services including Elemental Nature Massage and Stress-Fix Massage. Indulge in pure flower and plant essences. More spa services coming soon!

The spa store features AVEDA skin and body care products.
Small parties of 4-8 people can be accommodated for bachelorette parties, spa parties, birthday parties, etc.

This is our third visit. In the past, we stayed in one of the rooms in the lodge. This time we stayed at one of the small cabins, hustle a few hundred yards away. It was a wonderful experience. The cabin was spacious for two persons with a kitchen, bathroom, and wood burning fireplace. The temperature was perfect inside, despite the freezing rain. The breakfasts and dinners at the lodge were first- rate. Being away from the Internet, telephone, television, and newspapers was very liberating (after the first 2 hours of withdrawal). The staff is always wonderful. Very attentive and friendly.

When my fiance and I decided to get married at Cook Forest, I knew I wanted to stay at Gateway for the weekend. That is when I found out about their Elopement Weekend. It was perfect! Upon arrival, we were given a tour of the facility and asked to sign up for our breakfast time slot. Everyone was genuinely happy to see us and to make us feel at home. As promised, we found a bottle of champagne on ice in the room along with roses. The room was spacious, clean and well furnished. There was a small refrigerator with a couple bottles of water along with a basket of snacks. The serving staff in the restaurant were all friendly, and quick to answer any questions we had. The food was... Wow. Savory, cooked perfectly and just enough to fill you up without weighing you down. Breakfast the next morning was amazingly simple, but so filling and tasty. Our couple's massage was very relaxing, the masseuse's very professional and friendly. I highly recommend the spa, it is wonderful! All in all, the Lodge is very beautiful. Very homey and very comfortable. I cannot wait to go back to celebrate our first anniversary!

What a wonderful retreat. My wife and I had a very nice and relaxing time here. Deb and Rob do a wonderful wine pairing dinner. Very enjoyable experience!

Such a beautiful place.The staff so friendly and they know how to do their jobs very well.Our room was awesome and we will come again.Thank You for sharing your little piece of heaven with us :)
