It took me a few trips to Pittsburgh before I could get a table at this restaurant. They are busy so I've started to make reservations for my future trips. The food is delicious, the meat is high quality and the flavors were wonderful. The staff is topnotch and very friendly. This is one of my favorite restaurants in Pittsburgh and walking distance from hotels.
Tried out Gaucho while in Pittsburgh for the weekend. The restaurant had a good energy and the service overall was great. In terms of drinks, the variety on offer was nice and the drinks we received were strong albeit on the sweeter side. For food, the empanadas were a standout, and the chicken was also solid, however the steak could have been more tender and it honestly was too hot in the restaurant. Would recommend if you're looking for a solid restaurant in the area.
Excellent dinner. Get reservations although walk ins are welcome. Red sauce is the best for dipping. The best shrimp I have had. Steak board for 2 was a great choice to sample. A pound and a half. Potatoe was ranked a 50. Could have been a break my itself. Cooked prefectly. Chi chi chicken was great. Get the chocolate gnocchi. Parking: Garage is half a block down the street.
One of my favorite restaurants in town and has been for years. My go-to is the steak sandwich, but a lot of the other orders are also delicious. My only complaints here are that the prices have gone up since moving to their new location and also that it feels like you get less meat on the sandwiches compared to before. But even considering those two things, I still give it five stars and am already looking forward to the next time I eat here!
Absolutely phenomenal food, best empanadas in the city I promise! Cheesy gooey flaky perfect empanadas. Great cocktails, but try their house picked drafts, I also tried their burger with custom toppings and a few other tasty apps. I finished with the tiramisu ! ...The atmosphere was cozy but not too suffocating the staff were all friendly and made the experience even better. Definitely a spot to check out, do make a reservation though because their tables fill quickly.
Took my parents for dinner. I hadn’t been to the new location. Food was delicious! We opted try try a few different t items: roast pig with caramelized onions and the sirloin steak with potatoes. We also had the privileges and charred sweet peppers and caramelized mushrooms in a red wine vinegar sauce. The new location is in the heart of the cultural district and is much roomier than the old location. My parents loved the meal. For dessert we had chocolate ganache. Not a cheap meal, especially if you add alcohol but definitely someplace we will come back to!
Tasty food! The shareable items are really not that big though you need order side dishes to complement. The ambiance is nice but place is loud so don’t expect anything “romantic” for a date but if you want good food then go for it! I’d go back…
First time here, and after hearing a positive buzz for years it did not disappoint. The wood fire aroma is addictive. Everything is seasoned and cooked to perfection. The dark chocolate Ganache was the best ending.
Service was mediocre talking 20 minutes trying to order entrees and apps each, and the food was unimpressive when it came. Reservation didn't really matter for sitting down time. For the pricing it was definitely disappointing. Maybe it was an off night, but they were better in the Strip District. Also wasn't surprised that there was a confirmed Covid case the Tuesday 28th we went, given how enthusiastic patrons and staff alike were abstaining from masks.
Mussels Bite de Gaucho Bread pudding I barely finish bread pudding in any restaurant, this is execption.not too sweet. All dishes at this restaurant ordered are very good. Must try!
