Story

The 245-bed medical center (acute and sub-acute care) is located on a beautiful suburban campus and handles more than 25,000 inpatient cases and approximately 55,000 emergency room visits annually. Since its founding in Towson in 1965, GBMC's accomplishments have validated the vision of its founders to combine the best of community and university-level medicine. GBMC's main campus also includes three medical office buildings-Physicians Pavilion East, Physicians Pavilion West and Physicians Pavilion North I. In addition to its main campus located in Towson, GBMC's care can be found in several facilities located throughout the community including Hunt Manor, Hunt Valley, Owings Mills, Texas Station, Perry Hall and Parkton.

My experience was excellent!!! I arrived 1/4/18 wee hours in the am by car, I was registered and seen immediately. There was no crowded lobby and I received immediate care right away. Every staff member that I came in contact with were pleasant, friendly and so caring, we even joked after they got me all better lol. I would so recommend GBMC E.R. they are the best! Hands down!!!!!

My wife and I had a baby at the hospital, and altogether it was a great experience. We couldn't have been more satisfied with the nurses and the care for the 3 days we spent in postpartum. The whole system, with specific nurses for the baby and for momma, worked very well. We felt comfortable in the room, but my wife didn't feel comfortable taking a shower as the bathrooms seem older and not exceptionally clean. I had to mark down a point just because the actual birth started off on a bad note. She was supposed to be induced in the late evening, and they wouldn't admit her to give her a room until 5 hours later. Hence, she was already tired going into the whole process, and the first nurse we had made us very nervous as she seemed quite incompetent and the support just wasn't there. Fortunately, we got a new nurse when the shifts changed that was extremely friendly and helpful. Things went better the rest of the experience, but more could've been done to have us feel more confident in the beginning. Altogether, however, it was a good experience for all of us, including our newborn!

This has been the worst experience ever. I was in the ER on 11/1/2017 at 1:43 AM got a room right away, but it took almost 5.5 Hours to see a DR in my room.. then around 7:30 AM the DR said I'm getting Discharge but never seen my paper and it's 9:40 AM and counting. I understand they have critical patients but someone need to communicate with other patient instead letting others waiting in the room and pressing the button doesn't help. You would think other nurses will help other patients if your nurse is busy. Need to complain to someone but who.

Our children were born here, and we were more than satisfied with the experience. Our doctors and nurses were so kind and warm, and our rooms were comfortable. They also offer an excellent class to expecting parents. I can't really speak to any branch of the hospital outside of maternity, but I felt that we were in good hands.

I waited for my ENT in the NORTH Pavilion for 2 hours. No one checked on me in my room until I finally had to walk out otherwise I would have risked losing my other doctors appointment I had later for that day this is the second time I've had to wait but I've never had to wait so long and a doctor's office with no one ahead of me and no one to check on me. And most importantly it was only because they are fused to talk to me on the phone regarding CT scan results so I drove all the way up there. For an hour and 42 minutes just to talk and never even got that far nor did I receive an apology phone call or a follow-up as to why I left
