Occupational Therapy addresses the skills necessary for a child to become a functional and independent adult. These skills include things such as; fine and gross motor skills, self-care skills, regulation of arousal level, sensory discrimination and processing, communication skills, cognitive skills, appropriate social interactions, and self-concept.
Speech-Language Therapy addresses the skills necessary for effective communication and swallowing. Our goal is to maximize children's success by developing good communication skills.
We offer a feeding clinic to address food aversions as well as swallowing difficulties. We have an OT who is certified in The S.O.S. (Sequential Oral Sensory) approach to feeding.
We are equipped with a sensory area including a variety of swings, large ball pit, trampoline, scooter boards, and many other items to useful in therapy for children with sensory-processing disorder and delayed motor skills.
A signed doctors's order for evaluation and treatment are required for the requested therapy. Orders may be faxed, mailed, or delivered to our office. Our office staff will gladly assist families in scheduling and verifying insurance benefits for services. We are in-network for TriCare and KanCare as well as many other insurance providers.
