The history is amazing. He was an undeniable military power house. The picture tho is from GEN Colin Powell.

Needless to say, collections are being moved to Benning some, but still quite a good tribute to Patton overall. There are still a few outdoor exhibits as well.

Getting into Fort Knox is, well, like getting into Fort Knox. Background checks are required to get on base. Suitable for military and history buffs, for which I am neither. But, lots to see if this is your cup of tea.

Worth seeing, especially if you're interested in WWII. Museum brings Patton the legend alive. Many of his quotes are, well, quotable and memorable. Get ready for a potentially long wait at the base entry station; take a number (literally) and have a seat. By the way, you must use the Chaffee Gate on East Bullion Blvd off of US-31W, NOT the base main gate. Lots of memorabilia, including the staff car in which he was injured. We'd visit again.

Have to agree with other reviewers, the Patton Museum, like Ft Knox itself, is a shell of what it used to be. They chopped up the museum's collection and sent most everything non-Patton related away. What's left is a nice tribute to "Old Blood & Guts" but it's not the must-see that we remember it once was. :(
