Decent academics but overpriced. The school favors students who are from the midwest instead of from Pennsylvania. It is better for girls than boys too and not a good place for transfer students. The liberal arts profs and students are petty, uptight, too liberal, and put on a front of cultural Christianity rather than Biblical Christianity. Geneva is not a good school to go to if one plans on finding a good job after college (unless you are a business or engineering major). On a positive note the campus is nice and safe.

Terrible campus atmosphere. Shelters it's students in a bubble of spiritual protection like that of a cult, hardly teaching them to be ready for the world at graduation. Horrible location surrounded by poverty and drugs. Entirely overpriced for the mediocre education provided and professors care more about your personal life than actually sticking to the syllabus. The strictness of the school is enforced by a no grace Res-Life center led by some of the most ego-maniacal people I have ever experienced. That being said, for a "Christian" college, their practices are nothing, but shameful and embarrassing to the lessons taught in the bible.

Not a review of the college but the football program. Son had a pee wee football camp there for 2 days. First day arriving, sign up was online but getting there it was a big crowd not certain the people at the desk were not very organized. Of the 2 days each camp was to run until 8:30 pm, both let out early. First day at 810, next day 815. Tough for some of the kids that were dropped off and parents coming back at 830 as advertised. Program all in all my son enjoyed. Whether he learned a lot, not certain, but it got him out there and getting ready for the upcoming season.

My granddaughter was accepted to Geneva College and Penn State. I prayed and her dad prayed that she would go to Geneva. We were so upset that we could not afford the tuition, room, and board and would have to forsake college altogether. Geneva made it possible for our granddaughter to attend this fall and the cost is now within our means. After seeing the 1 star review about a lady's son being expelled for alcohol possession, I was even more encouraged. What better environment for our precious daughter/granddaughter who has lived a sheltered life for her first 18 years than to be in the environment fostered by Geneva College. Ironically, her father suffered the same fate at a Christian College in Florida 20 years ago. He was sent home in less than 12 hrs and we still had to pay the remaining tuition for the entire year and he was expelled in October! Oh and he was a senior and the president of his class. He had to sit out for one year and was given the option to return or he could have gone elsewhere that same October. He chose to return in disgrace and complete his senior year the following fall. His infraction would have had no penalty whatsoever in a secular college environment. He learned a very hard lesson and was the better for it. We too felt the sting of his poor choices. But, we knew that his punishment needed to be swift and decisive. And now he has chosen to send his precious daughter to a Christian college. I thank the parent who gave Geneva the one star rating because it gave us a better picture of what they stand for than any of the 5 star ratings.
