My parents couldn’t be more delighted with the care and attention to detail that Gentle Transitions provided. They sent a wonderful team to pack the day before the move and showed up early the next day to start the actual move. By the time I showed up after work it was like they’d lived in their new place for months! They were already entertaining guests who stopped by to welcome them. All the paintings were hung, beds made, clothes in the closet, etc. The only thing left for me to do was to marvel at the beauty of the new place. It’s not easy to leave a home that you’ve lived in for almost 50 years. Bravo Gentle Transitions for helping make the move as painless as possible. I’d highly recommend them.

Until my dad fell and broke his hip, I never thought about my parents moving from my childhood home where they lived for 48 years. My dad’s fall caused a series of events, including selling their home and moving them to a senior community. We were referred to Gentle Transitions, a company that specializes in senior relocation. I had not heard of Gentle Transitions although they are one of the oldest and largest senior relocation companies in the country. I called Gentle Transitions. And I am so glad I did! Gentle Transitions helped us with every step of the move; making decisions with my mother about which pieces of furniture would fit in her new apartment by making a floor plan, coordinating with the movers/elevator availability, having all the supplies necessary for the professional team of packers who showed up on ‘pack day.’ On the ‘unpack day’ the same team came to resettle my parents in their new home with great care. The kitchen was organized and items that had been in hutches were restored to their prior places on shelves. The team found creative ways to recreate my mother’s hanging antique blue platter collections. The day they moved in, my dad, who came directly from the rehab facility, rolled into the apartment in his portable wheelchair and looked around with tears streaming down his face and said to all of us in the room, “I am home!” So for the last six weeks of his life, he lived happily at ‘home’ with my mother. We are grateful and thankful for Gentle Transitions.

My family and I utilized Gentle Transitions 3 times for my mother. All three moves went extraordinarily smooth due to the professionism and caring hands of the GT Team. Each move was completed in the allotted time the Move Manager had given us . The team that moved my mother were different every time except for the Move Manager. The efficient and precise way getting my mother’s apartment packed up impressed my family immensely. I was expecting a very large bill from Gentle Transitions each time, and I was so surprised to find the estimate was larger than the actual bill I paid. We were thrilled! Their caring hands and thoughtful hearts during an extremely stressful time helped my mother so much and calmed me down along the way. The questions and the help in downsizing was so much appreciated. Their knowledge of the facilities was immense. They helped with the floor plan for each new apartment and suite my mother moved to. I was so impressed with GT and the Heartfelt and Caring Hands, that 6 months after my mother passed away, I started working for Gentle Transitions and have NEVER looked back! I would highly recommend Gentle Transitions for ANY move, large or small. You can count on Gentle Hearts and Hands to take care of Your Family during a very stressful period.

My parents (86 and 89) utilized Gentle Transitions for their move and when it was all over said, "That was by far the best money we have EVER spent!" This company knows what they're doing, and see the entire relocation process through from beginning to end. They are professional, efficient, respectful, and compassionate, and truly take the stress out of moving (which at ANY age is usually considerable). For packing/moving yourself or a loved one, look no further - they are second to none.

I have had the pleasure of working with Gentle Transitions a couple of times now. They are wonderful! They are extremely dedicated to completing all the details in order to have a smooth move for their clients. They do a remarkable job at setting up the client's new apartment in a hours! I highly recommend them! Thank you Gentle Transitions.
